Ch12
1.brett doesnt like the dark because he heard muffled screams lonely crying and laughing coming from the same room.
2.Josh says that brett has an attitude problem, because brett ran away and got them into trouble and noone forgave him.
Chapter 11
ReplyDelete1) Brett is ignoring Sam’s philosophy of change and responsibility. The reason why Brett is ignoring Sam’s philosophy is because Brett doesn’t want to be on the Farm, and therefore he doesn’t follow the rules. This can be seen on p. 126, when Sam asks Brett “How many times have you been sent out of class today” which shows that Brett is misbehaving in class, and not following the rules.
Chapter 12
1) The metaphor “The nights were dark in more ways than one” means that when Brett went to sleep, he was scared and worried. This can be seen on p. 138, when Brett says “Brett didn’t know what had happened and didn’t want to” which shows us that Brett is petrified and apprehensive.
2) On p. 140, Josh says that Brett “has an attitude problem.” He means that Brett has no respect, no consideration for others and bad manners. This is seen when Brett ran away, he got them all into trouble and no one has forgiven him for that.
